August 4, 1994 To Whom It May Concern: This letter will outline my personal and professional relationship with Mr. John Wimberly and comment on his capabilities and professionalism in his construction business. I have known John Wimberly for only a little more than a year's time. However, in that year, he has shown that he takes his construction projects and his relationships with clients and design professionals very seriously. My work experience with John has involved the Williams' Residence in Champion Hills Resort, Hendersonville, North Carolina for which I was the architect. The project encompassed the residence and its garage, sitework and utilities, built within the guidelines of Champion Hills. This was a long-distance project for owners and architect and we depended upon John to carry the burdens of the day-to-day events. During bidding and negotiation and later during construction, I worked closely with John in coordinating the project. He provided excellent management skills and gave everything his own personal touch. He consistently kept lines of communication clear and direct and sought to solve difficult issues ahead of the time for construction, instead of bringing them to crisis stage. He worked effectively and efficiently within the guidelines I set for him using AIA documents for contracts, pay applications and change orders. Whether it was true or not, John always made the Williamses and me feel as though their project was the most important item on his agenda. Because of his skills, good common sense, financial responsibility towards the owner and attention to detail I was able to spend less design time on the project and still provide the owner with a high quality residence. I have no reservations in recommending John Wimberly for any construction project and can attest to his capabilities as a general contractor of the highest quality. Sincerely, Deborah A. Snow, AIA |
