What Our Customers Say...

To Whom It May Concern,

I have for several years now recommended Mr. John Wimberly to my architectural clients. We have had the opportunity to work together on at least five residences. In each case, he has built a superior home.

It is always a pleasure to work with a contractor who builds quality into a home without constant monitoring on my part. Most contractors will only construct the minimum required by my plans and the NC Building Code. John has consistently done more than this, more than was required.

He has the experience to anticipate problems that arise, also. No matter how thoroughly I draw a set of construction drawings, there will always be a few field problems. John consistently anticipates these problems, allowing us to discuss them before anything is actually built. This always saves the owner money, because it is much more expensive to redo something than it is to do it once well.

If you would like to inquire further, please feel free to call my office.

Sincerely,

Fred E. Reidinger, AIA

Dear John,

A belated note to express our appreciation for the completed construction of our Sapphire Lakes home. Staying on schedule and within the cost estimates, without sacrifice to quality, were indeed major ingredients in our overall satisfaction. Also, the ease of communication coupled with your being readily availability made the whole process very smooth. Setting aside the beautiful riverside vista we have had numerous compliments regarding the appearance of our home and the quality of construction.

Carolyn and I are very appreciative of all that you have done and offer our thanks.

Dear John,

I wanted to thank you for the excellent job you and your team did in building my house. You surpassed all my expectations in providing a top quality home, while at the same time making the process a fun experience for me. You not only built a terrific home but also beat the time schedule by two months. Many people warned me that it would take at least 18 months, you delivered it in 10 months.

I really appreciated the weekly pictures showing your progress via e-mail. This was a great way for me to keep up with the progress and in helping me to be sure things were being done the way I wanted them. This was especiallly important to me since I could not be there to actually see what was going on. The pictures provided me with a lot of comfort.

During the three trips down there, you were well prepared to review progress and to help me in making the decisions that needed to be made. The decision making process went a lot better than I expected.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of subcontractors you selected. They all were true professionals and did excellent work. I also amazed with the short punch list and with the speed the punch list items were addressed. I also appreciate your commitment to stay with us incase we find more issues.

The whole experience ended up being a lot of fun for me in seeing the whole project come together and we ended up with a wonderful and exciting home.

 Sincerely,

Ed Chambers

Many people agree that having an honest and trusting relationship with your builder is the most important aspect in building a quality home. We discovered that this was particularly true as absentee owners living several hundred miles away from our construction site. With our architectural plans completed, we then interviewed three different builders to construct our Arts and Crafts mountain home near Brevard. While all three were quality builders with excellent reputations, John Wimberly stood out as one who was interested in not only our project, but one who showed a genuine interest in us as persons. Throughout the interview process we became convinced that Wimberly Construction would not only build for us a quality home but would minimize any apprehension we might feel due to our absence during construction. We were kept apprised of all the construction phases on a weekly basis. Through the use of digital photography and the internet along with frequent phone calls from the building superintendent, we were never out of touch and were confident that no important decisions were made without our reaction and input. We were very pleased with the finish work of Wimberly Construction craftsmen.

We are pleased to say that the 11 month long project was very pleasurable and rewarding. The house is beautiful and met all of our expectations. We look forward to spending many years in our Brevard mountain home and cannot thank John Wimberly enough for making this a smooth stress-free reality.

To Whom It May Concern

John Wimberly was the contractor for a house constructed for us on Lake Cardinal completed in March 2000.

Approach-From start to finish, John Wimberly's integrity and commitment to top quality was evident. John addressed issues upfront and in a professional manner. He respectfully listened to our ideas and implemented those that were achievable, while providing insight and recommendations based on his many years of experience. John's orientation is "You are the customer. You can have whatever you want." John Wimberly is a proud person and that is reflected in his dedication to quality. More than anything else, however, what impressed us the most was his commitment to doing the right thing even if it meant redoing an item several times. This was done often before we were aware of an issue.

Process-The building process was stimulating and enjoyable. John addressed many of the decisions upfront and then gradually called for additional decisions as needed along the way. John was fully engaged throughout the process, from fine tuning the site on the lot to hanging towel bars. He monitored the subcontractors closely, was very detail oriented and demanded top quality. John was very accessible throughout the process and respectfully listened and responded to our questions and requests. John has staffed Wimberly Construction with a very fine business manager and foreman who are highly professional and a delight to interact with.

Product-We are extremely pleased with the final product, a fine home, beautifully situated and constructed. The attention to detail is evident throughout.

We should have only one phone call to make if we ever decide to build another home, to John Wimberly.

Dear John,

As the 4th anniversary in our "Wimberly Home" nears, we would again like to thank you for working so closely with us and providing our dream home. It was very reassuring for first time home builders to have your frequent updates and explanations. Whenever we visited the house in progress, we were always treated courteously by you, your workers, and the subcontractors. The quality workmanship is evident throughout the house.

We also appreciate your prompt response to any of our needs or concerns after we moved in. You certainly went the extra mile. The friendship that developed is an added bonus.

Thanks Again.
